Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know.
PDF remediation is the process of adding structural tags to a
PDF so that screen readers and assistive technologies can
interpret the document's content.
Pageloom produces PDFs with respect to PDF/UA-2 (ISO 14289-2).
Yes — Pageloom relies on advanced OCR algorithms to digitize
scanned documents. We then pass these documents through the
same pipeline as born-digital PDFs.
It depends on the number of pages and the complexity of the
document. Most documents are processed at a rate of a few
pages per minute.
Pageloom produces highly accurate, semantically tagged PDFs
for most document types. That said, AI-generated output may
occasionally contain errors, and we cannot guarantee that
outputs will fully meet every accessibility standard 100% of
the time. As with any automated tool, it's best to review the
output before publication or distribution.
No. We do not use your documents or their contents to train,
fine-tune, or improve any AI models — whether our own or those
of our providers.
